Don’t Panic! But if you are, here is an easy exercise to the emotion of panic to make room for a sense of peace and calm.

Hi everybody, it’s Debbie Jones from the Ideal Method, and today is our next installment of energy exercises on how we can release those inner stress emotions. In the previous two videos that we did, we talked about how we release frustration and anger. The other video is how do we release that stress emotion of fear. Today we’re going to talk about that inner panic, that fire that kind of bubbles up inside of us.

Using Sound & Energy Medicine for Emotional Release

So we’re gonna be doing a very simple exercise, and as most of you know, you can do this standing up. But as most of you know, the energy exercises that we do, they also have a sound associated with them, and the sound is very important. So even if you don’t feel like doing the motions with us, you can just do this sound, and it’s going to have the same effect for you.

Okay, so again, when we’re releasing stress emotions, this is all about releasing emotions that are not serving our body very well. They’re keeping us in that state of stress, and what we want to do is release that stress emotion so that we can bring in other emotions and other healthy energies that are actually feeding our body and keeping us in a state of calm, in a state of relaxation, peace, joy. That’s what we’re looking for.

Energy Healing Exercise: Releasing Inner Panic

So today’s exercise, as we talked about, is releasing that inner panic, that inner fire, that inner chaos that we might have inside of us. The motions are going to be: I’m going to be bringing my hands from my thighs. We’re gonna be bringing them up over our head. We’re gonna steeple our hands and fingers together, so all the fingers and thumbs are touching each other, and we’re just gonna move them down the body in rhythmic motion. And the sound for this one is… so it’s almost the sound you’d make after a really long day. Maybe it’s the sound you get in your car after a long day of work, and you’re just…

Breathing & Movement for Energy Balance

Okay, so we’re gonna start with putting our hands right down on our thighs. Sorry, you can’t see me really well here, but we’re just having our hands right down on our thighs. Okay, we’re gonna bring our hands up and over our head, as I said. Gonna make that little steeple. We’re gonna take a deep breath in, and on the exhale, we’re gonna make the sound and bring those hands right down to the crown of your head. Deep breath in and bring your thumb to your third-eye. Your thumb is gonna come right into the thymus, right into the middle of the chest. This is actually called the Sea of Tranquility. Coming right in here, coming into the bellybutton and flatten the hands to make a little triangle around the bellybutton, and bring the hands down to the original position on the thighs.

Grounding & Restoring Energy Flow

And we’re gonna take one more deep breath in, and as we do this, we’re gonna bend at the waist. I’m gonna stay a little bit standing up so I can still see you, but you’re gonna fully bend at the waist and have your arms dangle down in front of you, and we’re gonna make that sound. Deep breath in… ah. And you’re gonna fully bend over, just let those arms dangle a little bit. Deep breath in… ah.

And as we come back up, I want you to put your hands on your big toes, and we’re just gonna trace up the inside of our legs. This is actually the yin energy, the mother earth energy, that calming energy. We’re gonna bring it all the way up our body and have our hands rest on our chest. And that is taking down the flame. That’s taking down that inner chaos, taking down that inner fire, that panic, and bringing in—allowing that fresh energy to come in for peace and happiness, joy, relaxation.
