There is no timeline for how long we grieve, however we can help to release and move through the feelings to make room for trust, faith, and love.

Hi everybody, it’s Debbie Jones from the Ideal Method, and this is our next video installment on releasing stress emotions. And we’ve talked a little bit about how stress can show up for people in many different ways, and sometimes it’s dependent on the circumstances that are around us. Sometimes it can show up as anger, it can show up as fear, it can show up as panic. It really depends on the situation and really the person.

Releasing Grief & Sadness with Energy Healing

So today, we’re going to talk about when the stress emotion is sadness or grief. And this is a really beautiful exercise that we’re going to do. And what we’re going to do is just help to bring that emotion forward and release it. And as we’re releasing it, we’re bringing in, into our bodies, bringing in faith, trust—trust in the order, trust in the bigger picture of what’s going on in any circumstance that’s happening.

Energy Healing Exercise to Release Grief 

So today’s exercise, what it looks like is this: we are going to bring our arms first. We’re going to start right down on our thighs, as we have for many of the exercises, and we’re going to bring our arms out to the side, and we’re gonna bring them in almost like you’re hugging a big balloon. And we’re gonna bring our fingers together, but we’re not going to touch them. We’re gonna do this three times. Our fingers do not touch, and then on the fourth time, we’re gonna allow our fingers to touch. And then we’re gonna bring them in and cross them over our lungs.

The Healing Power of Breath & Sound Therapy 

Grief and sadness are held energetically in the lungs, and we always want to keep our lungs nice and strong. So this is going to help release that energetically, to bring in faith and hope and joy, and to keep those lungs nice and strong. The sound, as everybody knows, our energy exercises that we’re doing to release the stress emotions have sound that are with them. So today’s sound is going to be like… almost as if you’re letting air out of a balloon.

Okay, are you ready? I’m gonna…

[Sound]

Put our hands right on the sides of our thighs. We’re gonna take a deep breath in, arms up and wide, and bring them in and exhale, and open wide on the inhale, and releasing and letting go all of that fear and bring it in. And one more time, open, having trust in faith and allowing that higher power to come forward and release. And one more time…

[Sound]

Lots of air in those lungs, and release. And this time, allowing the fingers to touch and cross them over and bring them up to your lungs. And take a deep breath in.
