Has the emotion of fear taken over? Try this easy exercise to release the emotion of fear to make room for happiness and hope! You can do this one standing, sitting or even in bed!

Good morning, everybody! Welcome to today’s video. My name is Debbie Jones from the Ideal Method, and what we’re working on for the next couple of days is just releasing stress emotions. 

Understanding How Fear Affects Energy Balance

And stress emotions can show up in many different ways. Sometimes it shows up as frustration, and we did a video on that yesterday, how you can release the stress emotion of frustration. Sometimes it shows up as panic, sometimes it shows up as grief or sadness, and other times it might show up as fear. So today, we’re gonna work on releasing the stress emotion of fear.

Energy Healing Exercise: Blowing Out the Candle

And I’m sitting on the floor today. Happened to be sitting on some pillows that makes it just a little bit easier for me to sit on the floor. And so I’m going to show you the exercise and how to do that. Now, if you’re unable to sit on the floor, go ahead and sit in a chair. So I’m going to show you the modification of sitting in the chair.

Okay, so for those of us that are sitting on the floor, what I want you to do is bring your knees up, and again, if you need to sit on some pillows, that’s perfectly fine. If you’re okay sitting straight on the floor, perfect. I’m gonna have you wrap your arms around your legs like this. Okay? And what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna rock back and forth like this.

Using Breath & Sound Therapy to Release Fear

Now, as I shared with you yesterday, although doing the motions is wonderful, each one of these exercises comes with a sound, and today’s sound is… So you’re gonna purse your lips, and it’s almost as if you are blowing out a candle. And that’s actually the name of this exercise: blowing out the candle.

So what we’re going to be doing is blowing out the fear in our body, releasing that energetic fear, and we’re leaving room for hope, happiness, and joy to come back in. So as you’re releasing that fear, it leaves room for us to breathe in all of those emotions that really support us.

Seated Modification for Energy Healing Exercise

Now, if you’re sitting in a chair, you just want to sit regularly in the chair, have your feet on the ground, and what you’re going to do is just take your hands and put them underneath your armpits, just like this. So it’s almost like you’re giving yourself a nice big hug. Okay? And you’re also going to rock back and forth towards your knees. Okay, but just keep your feet on the floor, keep them nice and comfortable.

Okay, are you ready? So we’re going to get our knees up, wrap our arms around here, wrap around our legs, and we’re just going to take a couple deep breaths in, and we’re going to rock. 

So, I want you to imagine that there is a blue candle, a blue flame, right in front of you, and you are blowing out that flame and releasing all the fear in your body. And you can do that as long as it feels good. You can do it for 30 seconds, you can do it for a couple minutes, just feel all that fear just release from your body, that stress emotion, and leaving room for joy and happiness to come through.
