Feeling tired? Overwhelmed? Perhaps you have a little extra ‘insulation’ around your mid section? These are all indications that you may have too much cortisol running through your body. Here is an easy way to bring balance to the hormone cortisol and relieve some of that stress off the body!

How Cortisol Affects Stress & Hormone Balance

 Let’s talk about stress and how we can help relieve some of it. So today we’re going to talk about cortisol, and if you happen to watch yesterday’s video, we were talking about the adrenal glands and how they release cortisol and adrenaline when we’re under stress. And we did some really great exercises to help balance that system.

So today we’re going to specifically talk about the hormone cortisol that is released when we’re under stress, and this hormone really regulates our perception, our emotions. So when there is an excess of cortisol running through our bodies, it has a little bit of effect on us, and you might see that if you’re, you know, feeling tired or you’re overwhelmed or you have extreme reactions, emotional reactions to things that are going on around you. Another thing is, if we have a little extra soft stuff around our midsection, that’s a good indication that we’ve got more cortisol running through our body than we need.

Energy Healing Exercise to Balance Cortisol

So let’s tap into that system. Let’s bring harmony and balance to it to help us with our stress response that’s happening. So how do we do that? Very simple. Everything that I show you is always going to be really simple. So we’re gonna find the belly button. Yesterday we found the adrenals by locating our belly button. Today we’re going to tap into the cortisol. So we’re gonna come out one inch, down one inch, and there’s gonna be two spots right there.

What I’m gonna ask you to do is put one thumb on one point and you’re gonna put your index finger on the other point. With your other hand, you’re going to take your same thumb and index finger and put it on the top of your head and tap into the pineal gland. What we’re doing is we’re tapping into the pineal gland, coming up onto the top of our head. This is all related to the hormonal response system in our body, and we’re gonna go back and forth like a seesaw. So we’re gonna push in on the abdomen, just release a little bit on your head, push in on the head, release on the abdomen, and you just go back and forth with that forward seesaw motion. And you can do this for 30 seconds up to two minutes.

Another point that you can touch is bring this all the way to the curve of your head. This is going to be tapping into the pituitary gland. Same thing, seesaw back and forth with the cortisol points, really relaxing, you know, feeling that going back and forth, really, really relaxing. And that’s it. You are tapping into that hormone response system that’s triggered by stress, and our goal is to bring everything in the body back into balance, back into harmony so that we are feeling more ourselves, we have more clarity of thought, and that we can easily deal with the stress that is all around us.
