Hi, it’s Debbie Jones from The Ideal Method, and today we’re gonna be talking about polarity and why it’s important and how do we keep it aligned. We want to make sure that our polarity is aligned with the Earth’s polarity, so that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
Why Grounding & Energy Alignment Matter
Now for the exercise, because there’s always an exercise that we do, I want you to grab a spoon—just a plain ol’ stainless steel spoon that you probably have in your kitchen. And why we’re gonna use this is because the stainless steel spoon has different metal components in it that’s going to help regulate our polarity.
Now, if you want to make sure that your spoon has that different metal components in it, you’re gonna grab a magnet, and you probably have one on your fridge. Just hold that magnet up to the spoon, and if it’s attracted to it, then you know that you have a good spoon to work in this exercise.
Understanding Polarity & Energy Balance
Okay, perfect. So, polarity—let’s talk about polarity a little bit. We have a North charge and a South charge in our body, and we want to make sure that it is aligned with the Earth’s energy because the Earth also has a North Pole and a South Pole. So we want to make sure that we are working within and are being supported by the energy that’s being provided from the Earth.
Now, there’s a couple different ways why it wouldn’t… We all have lived here all of our lives, and so why wouldn’t the Earth support us? Well, there’s a couple different reasons. If we get very disconnected from the Earth—so if we don’t have an opportunity to walk around in our bare feet, without shoes, without socks, and getting our bare feet on the Earth so that we can almost get that recharge from her. And sometimes that’s difficult, you know, depending on where we live and what our lifestyles are, and sometimes it’s just not feasible, especially if you live in colder climates where, you know, three or four months out of the year, they’re covered in snow, and it’s not a really comfortable situation.
Another way we kind of get disconnected from that polarity is that we’re around electronics. So if we are sitting at a computer most of the day, or if we have laptops, a lot of us have Wi-Fi running through our homes, if we’re on cell phones a lot— all of these carry an electromagnetic charge that is not supportive to our body’s energies.
Another way is if you fly a lot—flight attendants, pilots, or if you just do a lot of travel and you’re traveling in between time zones. This is a great way to get yourself grounded and to make sure that your energies are being supported by the Earth’s energy.
Energy Healing Technique: Grounding with a Spoon
So how do we do that? Grab your spoon. It’s really super simple. What we’re gonna do is it’s called spooning the bottom of our feet. So we’re gonna take our spoon, and we’re just gonna come up, turn our feet, and we’re just going to rub the spoon around—whatever is most comfortable for you. You can do figure eights on the bottom of your feet, you can do up and down, you could even turn the spoon over for the tip of it and kind of rake the bottom of your feet. That really gets the energy moving in there. Just do that for, you know, 15–20 seconds, as long as you feel comfortable. Sometimes, when you do this for the first time, you might feel a little bit of tingling coming in on the bottom of your feet, and that’s great! Energy’s moving.
Then you’re gonna go ahead and do that on the other foot. That’s it! You can do that multiple times a day. Again, if you’re ever feeling like disconnected, and as you’re moving throughout your day, you’re getting a little bit more sluggish—grab your spoon, take off your shoes and socks, spoon the bottom of your feet, and that’s it.
